Refund Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

One principle governs every window below: a refund is available until the thing you paid for becomes irreversible. For a software unlock that moment is redemption. For research it is the moment we confirm your engagement and senior work begins. For a call it is the call. Each window has a day count and an event; whichever comes first closes it.

The schedule

ProductWindowCloses early when
Tool Pro unlocks7 daysYour unlock code is redeemed. An unredeemed code is refundable in full within the window; a redeemed code has delivered the product.
Bird's Eye reports14 daysWe send your Engagement Confirmation. Up to that moment — including after payment, while we are waiting on your three inputs — you may cancel for a full refund. After it, senior research hours are committed to your parcel.
Service credits14 days per blockCredits are applied to a quote you have approved. Unspent credits inside the window refund in full; approved work is governed by its quote.
Memberships14 days, first period— Applies to the first charge only. After that, cancel anytime and the current period runs out; renewals are not refunded.
Ask Charles14 daysThe session is held, or less than 24 hours remain before it. Reschedule freely up to 24 hours out.

What this is not

It is not a satisfaction guarantee on delivered work. A released report or deliverable has been researched, reviewed by a principal, and sent; one revision is included with every report, and that revision — not a refund — is the remedy for something we got wrong. If we miss a promised date through our own fault, that is a different conversation, and we will have it openly.

Mechanics

The clock on reports, plainly

Paying does not start your turnaround. We ask for three things — the parcel or address, the jurisdiction, and the decision you are trying to make — and the promised date is set when the last one arrives. That is also the moment your refund window can close early: it is when our work genuinely starts.
